So, Dave and I have this amazing connection. We came into the Laredo Fire Department almost 30 years ago together. Never met before that. I had recently separated from the US Air Force and Dave had been working another job. We spent the next 12 months or so together in the Fire Academy and then would rarely see each other again for roughly 28 years. Fast forward to today. We are both Captains. Dave currently is the Captain of the EMS Training Division. I was moved inside after getting ill. This allowed me to fill a vacant position and recover while getting to my retirement point. Over the last year, Dave and I have spent nearly every working day together. Not only working on projects but also just having a great time. People would come by his office (where we would hang out) and listen to us banter back and forth. We discovered so many similarities it was mind-boggling. People would be crying from laughter as they listened to us. We just have that once in a lifetime chemistry that is too good to ignore. Enter podcasting.
I mentioned to Dave one morning that we should start a podcast. He replied, "sure, what's a podcast?"
